Roundhay and Allerton Grange Schools project: Belgian refugees in Yorkshire
As part of the Leeds Stories of the Great War AHRC project, Alison Fell worked with around 30 14-16 year old students from Roundhay and Allerton Grange schools in Leeds exploring the subject of Belgian refugees in Yorkshire in WW1. In response to the sources that Alison and the students found (in local archives, the local press, and in reports kept in the archives in Brussels) groups of students produced webpages and short articles. Two of the groups scripted filmed and edited short videos, which can be viewed below.
