4 October 2014, 2pm – David Glover talks about Franz Ferdinand and Sophie: The 1914 killings that changed Europe

1 November 2014, 2pm – David Millichope talking about the work of the Halifax
Great War Heritage Society

22 November 2014, 2pm – Richard Smith shares his research into his grandfather
and two brothers from Boothtown who all served and survived the war.

17 January 2015, 2pm – Dr Rebecca Gill from the University of Huddersfield
shares her research into Belgian refugees

21 February 2015, 2pm – Cyril Pearce, author of Comrades in Conscience, will
talk about Halifax’s conscientious objectors

7 March 2015, 2pm – John Spencer, Military Curator at Bankfield Museum will talk about the machine gun in WW1

25 April 2015, 2pm – David Millichope and Rob Hamilton will talk about Myths and Perceptions of the Great War

9 May 2014, 2pm – Dr Jon Cronshaw will tell us about British artists and the Great War
